Out of the Blue and into the pink is an encaustic & watercolour on paper. It is very similar to an encaustic monotype, but maybe the more accurate description is encaustic multi-type. Instead of the paper being pressed down onto the hot was wax once and pulled back up, it was pressed several times, in different places with different pressures and applications. The result is a dense, four-dimensional work that peers through time, out of the blue, and into the pink.
