So you know I don’t paint pretty pictures. They make real nice cameras these days, and you can #photoshop that shit too. I am more about the business of capturing the essence of life as I encounter life. The life I know is beautiful and destroyed. The life I know takes a crap ton of hard work but it’s still going to be a little fucked up.
I paint my art, then leave it to weather for several months. Then I’ll spend an afternoon destroying the picture plane with gasoline and hammers. I’ll leave to weather again for another 6 months. Then I’ll paint it fresh in the spring and start anew.
